Common and Uncommon Items Carried In Wallets Everywhere

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

There are many things an individual can choose to carry in a wallet, some may be more common and others not-so-common. Most people carry cash, credit cards, coupons, subway tokens, coins, a driver’s license, and other laminated types of membership cards in a wallet. Wallets often contain photographs of loved ones that are displayed behind a sized, plastic covering, hence the term, “wallet-size” in reference to pictures. Other, less common items that wallets carry are lucky charms or items of personal importance that are thought to bring luck or safety, grooming items like a small comb or even a perfume sample, safety pins for any “wardrobe malfunctions”, dog treats, for those who have their faithful friends with them at all times, and even spare keys to a house or apartment. Wallets are designed with more pockets and “hidden compartments” for the individual who wishes to use the wallet for these rather non-traditional items. Some wallets are even being made larger to hold a passport or visa. No matter what might be stowed or hidden away in a wallet, the most important thing is that it closes adequately and is carried in a secure place so as not to be lost or stolen.
