A 4-year college education is not for everyone. It can be a grueling experience and there is no guarantee that a job will be waiting for you on the other end. There are other options and routes that can lead to a rewarding career. Here are a few suggestions:
IT – Completing a Microsoft certification training course can lead to a career in the IT industry. These certification courses can take up to 2 years to complete, and you will be expected to work hard but if you pass the final certification exam you will be ready to enter the workforce.
CAN/LPN – The healthcare industry is booming and there are plenty of jobs being created. Getting a CNA or LPN certification is a great way to get involved in this field. These entry-level jobs can get your foot into the healthcare industry. As you progress you may consider going back to college for a four year RN degree.
Electrician/Plumber – These jobs are usually learned through an apprentice program. You learn a trade that is in high demand by working on the job. These jobs pay well and are in high demand.
Whether you are watching MCSE training videos or learning how to read a wiring diagram training for any of these careers can lead to a great lifestyle.
